August – Newsletter from the Director
A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and people that came out for our annual Night to Unite and Ice Cream Social! Not only is this a fun evening to enjoy the weather and mingle with other members of the community, but Night to Unite is an important event that is meant to increase awareness about police programs such as drug prevention, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts. We are lucky to have such amazing and hardworking officers that keep Windom a safe and great community to live, but we can’t forget that as citizens we have a responsibility to keep our community safe as well. I think the Windom community does a great job of this so keep it up! Also, being a law enforcement officer can be a very difficult and at times thankless job; so next time you see an officer try and say thank you, or at least give them a smile. These days, in the world we live, being an officer takes an enormous amount of courage, bravery, and resolve to make the world a safe and better place.
