Tami and her husband Rob are the owners of Smith’s Appliance. Tami has had a variety of educational experiences from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she studied marketing and PR to studying in Ireland at Trinity College in Dublin as well as Secondary Education studies with Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education along with studies in Irish History and Literature. Tami previously taught for five years at the Neuhof Hutterite School. Prior to her teaching career Tami worked in industries where she focused in sales and marketing. Tami is active with St. Olaf Lutheran in Odin and serves on the Board of Education. She is a past president of Prairie Arts Continuum and has served on the Community Education Board in Windom. Tami enjoys reading, travel, photography, evening walks with her family and theatre in her free time. Tami and husband (Rob) have two children; John (14) & Madelyn (3). As avid pet lovers, the McMenimens have have two dogs; Vinnie & Libby as well as a cadre of well-loved farm cats.
Trevor is the Publisher for Citizen Publishing Company where he has been working for the past 19 years. Trevor is the Past President of the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of national and regional publishing organizations. Trevor has served on and been the President of the Chamber Board in the past. He has also served on and been the Presideindom Economic Development Authority. He has served on several community organizations and assists with coaching various youth sports. He is a member of the Windom Country Club and enjoys time with family and golfing. Trevor is a graduate of Windom Area High School and has a Bachelor’s of Science from St. Cloud State University. He and his wife Katie, have 2 children (Connor & Cullen) who attend Windom Area Schools.
Joe is the Liquor Store Manager for the City of Windom. Joe was born in Beulah, ND, but grew up and graduated from high school in Rush City, MN. He went to college in Cambridge, MN where he studied teaching and musical education. Joe has worked for the city of Windom since April, 2015. Before coming to the City of Windom, Joe worked for Cub Foods, managing a plethora of different liquor stores for them, including Stillwater, Maplewood, St. Louis Park, Arden Hills, and Roseville where he made new craft beer sets, and coordinated with Cub corporate to bring in new vendors. Joe recently bought a house in Windom, and is beginning to get involved in community projects. In his free time, Joe enjoys relaxing with friends and family. Joe is married to Ericka Audette who just started working at River City Eatery, and plans to bake for the restaurant, she is a cake decorator by trade. Joe & Ericka have a dog (Nika), and 3 cats (Chuck Norris, Hank, and Blue).
Cheyenne is currently an investment assistant at Bank Midwest and has been in this position since February of 2015. She grew up in Ipswich, SD and graduated from Leola High School. She attended Lake Area Tech in Watertown where she received a certificate in Cosmetology and landed a job at Planet Hair in Aberdeen, SD. While at Planet Hair, she decided to pick up a part time position at Wells Fargo. After about a year of working with Wells Fargo, she decided to part ways with Planet Hair and start full time work at the bank. She worked at Wells Fargo for about 6 years and worked in 7 of their branches throughout SD, IA, and MN. She began her work as a teller and progressed to a lead teller position. In her time there, she also had an opportunity to work as a personal banker. She left Wells Fargo this past winter and decided upon her current position here in Windom to be closer to home, my kids, and to learn more about our community. Cheyenne’s husband, Mitch, is a physical therapist at the Windom Area Hospital and is also the assistant boys high school basketball coach in Windom. He was born in Westbrook, but grew up in Arlington, SD. They have 2 children, Macy (4) and Cason (2) and are expecting Baby Boeck #3 this June.
Emily is the Chief Human Relations Officer at the Windom Area Hospital where she has been working since 2013. Emily has nearly 20 years of experience in human resource roles including biotech, retail and healthcare industries. She is a graduate of Windom Area High School and has a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of St. Thomas. Emily is involved in the Breast Health Walk, Fun Run, Farm and Home Show, and Relay for Life and enjoys gardening, running, and golfing. Emily and husband Matt have two sons, Madden (3) and Micah (18 months). She has enjoyed her last two years on the Chamber board, especially being involved in the revival of the annual gala.
Wayne is the Superintendent of Windom School District. Wayne received his Bachelor’s Degree in History Education and his Masters of Science in Education Leadership from Northern State University. Wayne also has a Specialist Educational Leadership and Administration designation from the University of Sioux Falls. Wayne has served as the Superintendent for Windom since 2008. His previous work experience was as Superintendent of Canistota School District (2004-2008), and Principal of Timber Lake School District (2001-2004). Wayne has served as a member of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee and is a member of the United Methodist Church. Wayne is a Kiwanis Member and has served as a past president. Wayne has served and was a past president of Windom Education Collaborative Center (WECC). Wayne’s wife (Becki) is a part-time office assistant at Wenck Engineering. Wayne has three children; Zach (17), Jadyn (14), and Teigen (14).
Jordan is the sales and internet manager for Higley Ford. Jordan was born and raised here in Windom and a 2008 Graduate. He then attended South Central College in North Mankato, MN where he studied Marketing and Business. While attending college, Jordan worked for Heintz Toyota in Mankato and continued to after college. He then moved back to the area in the spring of 2013 to become the fourth generation in the family business. Jordan married his high school sweetheart Brittany (Thedans) Higley in September 2015. Together they have one daughter, Olivia (7 months).
Socorro (Maria) (Soco) Adame-Caballero
Maria is the current Office Assistant, Translator, and Realtor for River’s Edge Realty. She has been with the company for the past 12 years. She has also been a property manager and school interpreter for the past 10 years, and an interpreter for family services for the past 3 years. Maria grew up in Pure Pero Michoacan (Mexico) and graduated high school in 1998. She has lived in Windom since 2002. Maria is active in her church and was on the Plum Creek Board until they disbanded. Maria and her husband Fredy have one son, Noah (4). Together they love to go camping and spend time together as a family.
Bridget is the current manager of Elite Mechanical Systems, a business run by her husband. She previously worked at Big Game Treestands for 14 years as their General Manager. Some responsibilities Bridget was tasked with while at Big Game were developing office roles of logistics, accounting, customer service, human resources, international business, and more. Bridget is a graduate of Fulda High School and after one year at the University of MN studying business she graduated from Scot Lewis School of Cosmetology in 2001. Bridget and her husband Travis have two children, Austin (5) and Ally (3), and are expecting their third child in February. Bridget is active in Tera’s Gather & Grow Bible Studies and is interested in making Windom an attractive community for young people to move to.
Anna is the Grain Buyer for Poet Biorefining – Bingham Lake. In 2015 Anna transferred from Poet’s plant in Macon, MI to Bingham Lake. She has a B.S. in Agriculture Science and a minor in Agriculture Business from Truman State University. Since moving to Windom Anna has involved herself in the Windom Saddle Club where she is the Treasurer, Farm and Home Show Committee, the Chamber’s Young Professionals Group, AQHA, and Agricultrual Appreciation Night. In her free time she can be found at the barn with her horse and competing in working cow horse shows. Anna is a homegrown Minnesotan and is excited to be back in her home state and she is looking forward to establishing roots in the greater WIndom Community with her horse (Red) and cat (Yoda).
Brandon is currently employed at Ag Builders of Southern MN in Grain Handling & Post Frame Building Sales and project management since May of 2010. Brandon has the privilege of working with local farmers and businesses to grow and improve grain handling and storage facilities both on farm and commercially at grain cooperative. He enjoys interacting with people on a daily basis and being able to help them improve operations. He previously has worked at Daktronics as a Marketing Intern and transitioned into Account Manager while there. As Account Manager, he managed accounts for businesses such as the Seattle Mariners, LA Dodgers, San Francisco 49ers and other by maintaining service contracts and committments after the sale and installation. Brandon is a graduate of Garner-Hayfield Schools (Garner, IA; 2004) and has a B.S. in Physical Education with a Sport Management Emphasis & Minor in Marketing from MSU – Mankato (2008). Brandon enjoy playing golf and basketball, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, running road races with his wife Melissa, and enjoying time with their two children, Brynnley (4) and Landrey (1).
