November – Newsletter from the Director
Now that November is here the holidays are approaching fast. If you’re one of those people that get your shopping done early you probably already have the list make out, and maybe even have made a couple purchases. If you’re like me, you plan on shopping early and then a week before Christmas you’re frantically trying to figure out what to do. Regardless of what type of Christmas shopper you may be, I strongly urge you to shop local. Before you get in your vehicle to travel outside of Windom to shop, please ask yourself (and the businesses themselves) if they have what you need and want, or if they can get the item or even something similar for you. The people who own, manage, and/or work in Windom’s’ area businesses are our friends and neighbors. Like the rest of us, they are members of our community and contribute in their own ways that make Windom a great place to live. Let’s shop first in the community in which we live and support our neighbors.
